Our Story

The Food & Beverage Marketing Agency Named After Sarasota's Best Four Months

Every Gulf Coast operator knows high season when they're standing in it. We put it on the door — and built an agency around what those four months really mean.

Why We're Called Peak Season Media

If you've ever run a restaurant, a bar, a bakery, or a cafe on this coast, you know the rhythm by heart. Somewhere around the first week of January, the license plates change. Michigan, Ontario, New York, Ohio. The wait at your host stand goes from "right this way" to forty-five minutes. St. Armands Circle turns into a promenade. Siesta Key beach bars run out of frozen drink mix by 4 p.m. The espresso line at every cafe from the Circle to Gulf Gate stretches out the door by 8 a.m.

Then it ends. Not gradually — almost overnight. The snowbirds pack up in April, the families thin out after spring break, and by the time August humidity settles in, half the tables on Main Street are empty and every operator in town is doing the same math: can what we banked in season carry us through September?

Locals have a name for that January–April surge: high season. We named the agency Peak Season Media for what that surge really is — the peak the entire year climbs toward. It is the defining fact of feeding people on the Gulf Coast, the season every food business here lives and dies by. And in our experience, almost nobody markets like it exists.

The Problem With "Year-Round" Marketing

Generalist agencies sell food businesses the same flat monthly plan they sell everyone else: the same ad budget in February as in August, the same targeting in season as out. That's like staffing your kitchen the same on a Saturday in March and a Tuesday in September. Nobody who has worked a season would do it.

Our belief is simple: the calendar is the strategy. High season is when you capture — names for your email list, five-star reviews while sentiment is warm, the photos and proof you'll spend all year using, repeat guests who will come back on their own next winter. The off-season is when you convert — locals' campaigns, geo-targeted offers, and the local SEO & AEO groundwork that decides who owns Google (and the AI assistants) when the next wave of visitors starts searching.

The calendar is the strategy. Everything else is tactics.

What we believe

  • Food & beverage only. Covers, pours, and pastry cases — nothing else.
  • Season-over-season is the only comparison that matters here.
  • Two engines beat ten tactics: paid ads and search visibility, done properly.
  • Reports should read like a P&L, not a physics paper.
  • If we can't move a number you care about, we'll say so and part friends.

Who We Work With — and Who We Don't

Peak Season Media works exclusively with six kinds of businesses: restaurants, bars and breweries, cafes, coffee shops, bakeries, and food trucks. That focus isn't a slogan; it's the product. Because every client shares the same seasonal curve, the same review platforms, the same "near me" searches, and the same guest psychology, everything we learn in one dining room or lunch line compounds for the next.

It also means we're comfortable in your language. We talk covers and check averages, pour cost and ticket times, review velocity and cost per cover. You'll never have to explain to us why a slammed February doesn't mean you can relax about July.

How an Engagement Feels

You get a small senior team, not a rotating cast of coordinators. We start with your numbers, agree on the two or three that matter most, and build a twelve-month plan mapped to the season — the advertising engine on one side, the search-and-answers engine on the other. Most months you'll spend less than an hour with us: a short call, a one-page report, and a clear list of what's shipping next. When something isn't working, you'll hear it from us first.

No phone tag, either. We run on email and scheduled calls, so every decision is written down and nothing gets lost between shifts. Reach us anytime at info@peakseasonmedia.com.

Let's Talk Before the Next Season Does

Whether you're heading into your first Sarasota season or your twentieth, the best time to fix the plan is before the planes land. It starts with a free marketing audit of your place.
